Beta 2 vs. RC1
Build 6001 (available in April 2007), for example, is labeled beta 3, but is actually beta 2. Microsoft states that the latest beta, which has just become publicly available, is proposed to be that final beta before what I assume may be one or more release candidates; ie, RC1, RC2, etc.

XP really slow since RC1
I hope someone nice out there can give me a hint or any help regarding my problem I have with updating or upgrading my Windows XP Beta 2 to my Windows XP Previw Program Release (should be RC1 or so?). My Problem is, I have the english Beta 2 installed and fully working on my system. Now I would love to update this

XP RC1 and beta 2
2465 is an interim build, which means upgrading from 2465 to RC1 is not supported. There may be components that MS put into build 2465 and later removed (say in build 2469), so Beta 2 doesn't "know" about them and may choke when you upgrade. So you need to decide if you want to spend a lot of time getting Beta 2

According to the release notes available to TechBeta, this upgrade is not yet supported. You must still use Custom Install for x64.
